The Independence Community
College Pirates Baseball team will travel to Great Bend
Ks. to take on the Barton County Cougars in the first
round of the Region 6 playoffs. The best of three
series will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday May 3, with
game two following game one. A third game will be
played on Sunday May 4th in the event of a split on
Saturday. The winner of the series will qualify
for the region tournament to be held in Wichita at
Lawrence-Dumont Stadium May 10-14.
Try-out Dates Set!
The Independence Pirates
Baseball team will be holding two try-outs for
prospective student-athletes. The try-out dates are
slated for Monday,May 19th and
Tuesday May 29th. Both
days will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Field and will
conclude with a campus tour at 1:00. Please contact
