Hanson's 39 leads ICC to win
ICC jumped out to a 47-37 half-time advantage over the Scotties, but were very fortunate to have the big of a lead. The Scotties shot very well from the 3-point line in the first half and connected on 7 first half three's. Despite the hot shooting from the arc, ICC found a way to make a couple of plays at the end of the half to give themselves a double-digit advantage heading into the locker room.
ICC jumped out early in the second half and led by double-digits the entire way. Indy led by as many as 20 points, but could not shake the scrappy Scotties, who were playing without their leading scorer, DeWayne Wright. ICC found themselves victorious 101-88.
Antonio Hanson had a lot to say in the game with a career-high 39 points. Hanson hit 7 three point baskets on the evening. James Bush added 14 points and 6 rebounds and TJ Stukes rounded out the double-digit scoring with 12. James Allen led the team with 3 assists.
Indy improved to 23-4 overall and 14-1 in league play. The Pirates travel to Ark City, KS for a first-place showdown at Cowley College. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm.
