Craion's
20 Leads Indy to 8th Straight Victory
Independence, KS-
Michael Craion
scored 20 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in a 67-51 victory over the visiting
Seminole State College Trojans. The victory pushed the ICC win streak to 8
games and also helped avenge an earlier loss to Seminole during the second game
of the season.
Defense was the name
of the game in the contest. For an eight and a half minute stretch in the
first half, ICC held Seminole with out a basket. ICC was down 21-13 at
that point with 8:41 remaining in the first half and went on a 15-4 run to close
out things. ICC led at half-time 28-25.
More of the same was
said in the second half. ICC held Seminole State to only one bucket during
a 10 1/2 minute stretch and followed Craion's lead offensively in route to a
67-51 victory for the Pirates.
Craion's 20 points
was a career-high and paced ICC. James Bush was the only other Pirate in
double figures with 10 points. Bush also added 10 rebounds for his third
double double of the season. Antonio Hanson led ICC with 3 assists and 3
steals.
ICC moves to 9-3 and
will now be on Christmas Break and will play host to Johnson County Community
College on January 5th at 4 pm in the Jayhawk East Conference opener.
