Prior to Independence:  Led Bronx Regional High School to two straight alternative league championships...led the team in rebounding his junior and senior seasons...also led the PSAL in rebounding his senior season...was also a first team All-Alternative League performer...team captain his junior and senior seasons...attended the same high school as former Pirate and former Kansas State Wildcat, Jermaine Maybank...was a participant in the Nike Battlegrounds tournament.

While at Independence:  TJ is the leading returning scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker for the ICC Pirates...averaged 10.5 ppg and 6.9 rpg in 29 games as as freshman...also registered 36 blocked shots...shot 59% from the field...scored a career-high 27 points vs. Neosho County on 1/3/07...grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds vs. Moberly on 11/17/07...blocked a career-high 6 shots vs. Allen County on 2/14/07.
