Videos and DVDs
The Media Center maintains a
collection of
instructional
videos and DVDs that are
available for checkout by ICC
faculty and staff. A paper-based
list of available materials is
distributed to faculty and staff at
the beginning of each academic year,
and an online version will be
available soon. Materials may be
checked out for one week at a time.
Students may not check out
videos or DVDs, although they
are welcome to view them in the
Media Center by appointment.
The Media Center also has access to
an
off-site
collection of
instructional videos and DVDs, which
can be requested through the ICC Library.
A list of titles is available in PDF
format (A-H,
I-Z).
To borrow one of these items for
classroom use, e-mail
Carol Small
with the title of the video or DVD
and indicate when you need it. Items
typically take 3-5 days to arrive,
and may be checked out for one week.
Audiovisual Equipment
The Media Center has several TVs
with VCR/DVD players that
are available for faculty and staff
use. These units are checked out on
a first-come, first-served basis,
and must be reserved in advance.
Equipment must be returned before
the Media Center closes for the day,
unless special permission is granted
in advance.
Support Services
ICC faculty and
staff members use the Media Center's Xerox WorkCenter Pro 90 to make
black-and-white photocopies for institutional use. Faculty and staff members are
assigned a copier code by the Media Center. Color photocopies are
available upon request, and are processed by Media Center
staff. No copyrighted materials will be processed by Media Center
staff unless request is accompanied by a written release from the
author or publisher.
The Media Center also produces
booklets, coursepacks,
transparencies, and
other print materials for faculty
and staff. Please note: the Media
Center cannot accept
responsibility for designing print
materials. The Media Center is
responsible for production only.
Production of print materials is
available on a first-come,
first-served basis, and requests are
to be submitted to the Media Center
ten business days in advance of the requested delivery date. The Media Center cannot and does not guarantee same-day or overnight service.
The Media Center supplies offices
across campus with copier and
printer paper. The Media Center
Supervisor is also available to supervise
student make-up testing from 7am-noon
and 1-4pm, by appointment. Under no circumstances will a Media Center work-study student be permitted to administer a test.
